Kuruva Dweep, Wayanad, Kerala, India.

Kuruva Dweep

The river formed a group of small islands known as Kuruwadeep. These are situated on the tributaries of the Kabani River. The largest riverine island in Kerala could be Kurua Isles. They have an area of about 950 acres. These islands are home to a wide range of plants and animal species.
The surroundings are serene and lush, resembling settings in some world classic books. There is absolutely no population, which is another characteristic. It is all protected forest. Here, one may view bamboo forests, a variety of trees, orchids, medicinal herbs, and several wild animal species.

Bamboo raft

Around Kurua Dweep, there are numerous small and large tributaries. To cross the river, rafts operated by the KTDC and Forest Department are available. This journey on a bamboo raft will remember with you forever. Explore the islands while relaxing.Pollution is very less because it is an ecotourism destination. Kuruwadweep has virtually little public access. The purpose is to prevent wild animals' freedom of movement. The months of November through May are the greatest for travel here. Once the monsoon starts, the island will then be entirely shut it down. Entry requires a pass. You can get it by contacting  with the Forest Department.

Two gates are available. For those arriving by Mananthavadi, one is close to Palvelicham, and for those arriving via Pulpally, the other is close to Pakkam. Plastic should be avoided. Let your vacation be in Kuruva Isles.
